Arts Council granted street closure for Sept. 26 downtown event

Kettner described requests for bleachers and access to a nearby bank courtesy room for storage, and asked about porta‑potty arrangements. Council members and staff recommended opening the road earlier for setup (staff suggested 8 a.m.) and allowing additional time for teardown; they also discussed placement of bleachers and coordination with downtown businesses.
A motion to approve the street closure request, with the staff‑recommended logistics (setup and teardown windows), was moved, seconded and approved by the board.
The board did not set a formal fee schedule at the meeting; staff said typical event logistics (porta‑potties, bleachers) would be coordinated with the Parks & Rec department.
