Pineville High School softball team honored after LHSAA state championship

The principal of Pineville High School (introduced to the council as Mr. Neil) told the council the accomplishment represented more than athletics and celebrated the students' leadership and community pride. Coach Fry thanked the community for rallying around the team and praised players for both athletic and academic performance.
In a ceremonial presentation the council read the team's season achievements — a 29-9 record and an undefeated home record — and presented a key to the city to the coach and players. The mayor and council congratulated the team and their coaches.
The recognition was largely ceremonial and no formal action beyond the presentation was recorded.
