PINEVILLE — During the Dec. 16 special meeting the Pineville City Council adopted a resolution designating Dec. 26, 2025 and Jan. 2, 2026 as additional city government holidays for Pineville employees.
The motion passed by roll call. Staff told the council that the temporary holiday designations will be incorporated into a broader personnel policy and that an ordinance to formalize the practice will be introduced in January.
Councilmembers said the measures were intended to recognize city employees during the holiday season; staff noted this action applies for the specified dates and that a formal change to the personnel manual will require later council consideration.
The resolution passed by unanimous roll call; the council directed human resources to prepare a formal policy and an ordinance for introduction in the coming weeks.
