The Carroll County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on June 22 to approve the fiscal‑year 2027 school budget after a motion, a second and brief discussion.
Board action and vote
A supervisor moved to approve the FY27 school budget, the motion was seconded and the board recorded unanimous yes votes from the members present. The meeting transcript records the vote as affirmative from each voting member.
Context from the audit
During the earlier audit presentation, auditors said the school board's expenditures in FY25 exceeded its appropriation but that additional state and federal revenue offset those overages so an additional county transfer was not required. Auditors recommended the school board return to the supervisors if it anticipates future budget overruns and needs supplemental appropriation.
Other routine approvals
At the same meeting the board also approved minutes from June 1 and June 10, 2026, approved the consent calendar, and approved two sets of invoices (06/01/2026 and 06/22/2026) by unanimous votes. The board took action to approve a lease disposition contingent on final county‑attorney review and voted to table two property items (Navajo Civic League property and repairs to the Woodlawn Act building) until the next meeting.
The board closed the meeting after a unanimous vote to adjourn.
