Warrens board approves $1.155 million in TID appropriations, adopts festival street-closure resolution and appoints Peter Malinger

The board approved an appropriation of $655,000 in TID funds to fully pay Community Development Authority 2004 un‑extended and extended bonds and a separate appropriation of $500,000 in TID funds for partial payment of Community Development Authority 2007 taxable bonds. A. Werner moved to approve the $655,000 appropriation and T. Swope seconded; the motion carried. T. Swope moved the $500,000 appropriation and A. Werner seconded; that motion also carried. The minutes record the payments are scheduled for Nov. 1, 2024.
The board also adopted Resolution #2024‑09‑10 authorizing street closures for the 2024 Warrens annual Cranberry Festival. The resolution was moved by A. Werner, seconded by T. Swope, and passed by the board.
In the same session the board filled a vacancy by appointing Peter Malinger. A. Werner moved to appoint Malinger and T. Swope seconded; the motion carried and Malinger was added to the village board.
The approvals were recorded as carried in the meeting minutes; the minutes do not include detailed vote tallies or further conditions attached to the appropriations. The payments are scheduled for Nov. 1, 2024, according to the motion language recorded in the minutes.
