Gardner said the plan uses a 36‑inch culvert to convey flow beneath the new roadway and described three separate proposed stormwater basins to manage runoff rather than a single large detention basin. “We’re proposing to come in off Hyde Park with our cul de sac, and we have 14 proposed building lots,” Gardner said. Commissioners asked for specific details on catch basins, outlet structures and the location of proposed detention basins relative to wetland areas.
Commission members recommended staking out the centerline and key basin/crossing locations in the field and scheduled a site visit for July 28 at 5 p.m. to review grades and the wetland crossing in person. Staff said additional engineering comments are pending from town departments and that the application materials will be posted online for review.
