Mayor Paul N. Mirabelli summarized the proposed 2025 municipal budget during the April 1 work session, saying the budget reflects an increase of $619,308.92 compared with the prior year and equates to roughly $176.82 on an average assessed home.
The Mayor outlined anticipated revenue changes and reductions as well as proposed capital projects, which include road and sewer improvements. Council members discussed financing the capital program and agreed a bond ordinance will be introduced to fund the projects. Formal budget introduction was scheduled for the next council meeting.
CFO Justyna Diaz was listed in attendance and will appear on resolutions and formal documents as the finance officer during the budget process.
