Mayor Paul N. Mirabelli said the Borough will apply for a New Jersey Department of Community Affairs grant of approximately $100,000 to support revitalization of the Borough Sports Complex.
The council adopted Resolution 49-2025 authorizing the application and authorizing the Mayor and Administrator to sign the application and any subsequent grant agreement. The resolution also authorizes the expenditure of funds pursuant to the terms of any executed agreement.
Administrator Glenn Mortimer confirmed the resolution permits the Borough to accept a lesser or greater dollar amount if offered by the Department. The council recorded a roll-call vote with ayes from Councilmembers Dierkes, Matejek, Pacifico (by phone), Rinaldo, Van Deusen and Wass; nays: none.
The action sends the application forward for state review; if a grant is offered the borough will return with the fully executed agreement and associated spending authorizations.
