Mountainside Rescue Squad earns New Jersey 'Always Ready for Children' accreditation

"Our in town rescue squad member, Brianna, spearheaded this effort and worked with the New Jersey Department of Health on submitting detailed procedures for pediatric care in our community," the council member said. The member added that the department's procedures will be shared with other EMS agencies in the state as reference material.
Council members noted Mountainside was one of the first agencies to receive the designation and described it as an important achievement for a borough with a sizable young population and a nearby children's hospital. Members urged continued community support for the volunteer rescue squad.
The recognition was presented as part of council comments and is recorded as a point of local pride rather than a formal action requiring appropriation.
