Presenters thanked county road and bridge crews for excavation and materials support and named several foundations and donors who helped stretch local dollars. They previewed planning for the purchased Guild property (about 48 acres in Comfort) and said the committee seeks community input before pursuing schematic designs and fundraising.
Commissioners praised the partnership, encouraged public engagement in a planned stakeholders workshop and agreed to explore additional county matches to leverage outside funding. The court took no immediate budget action but signaled support for continued collaboration as projects move toward design and fundraising phases.
