City Manager Greg Doyon told the Commission on June 2 that Janicki Industries has selected Great Falls for a major manufacturing campus, a development he described as potentially transformative for local employment and economic growth.
Doyon said the decision adds to other recent or planned investments — infrastructure tied to the Sentinel missile modernization at Malmstrom Air Force Base, planned facility investments by the Montana Air National Guard, and expansion plans at Touro University, including a proposed law school and nursing program — and that the combination of projects will generate jobs, increased housing demand, and new infrastructure needs. He thanked community partners, state and local organizations, city staff, and Janicki leadership for their roles and said the city will continue planning for associated growth and service demands.
The presentation to the Commission was informational; no formal action was taken at the meeting related to Janicki Industries or specific incentives or funding commitments.
