During the April 23 special session, the Paoli Town Council approved multiple routine contracts and purchases on unanimous votes.
The council authorized Town Council President Theron Owen to sign an owner's acceptance letter for the lead replacement project, confirming Infrastructure Systems Incorporated as the low, responsive, responsible bidder. Attorney Lyn Tucker Fullen presented and the motion passed 5-0.
The council also approved a one-year agreement with Paoli Youth Diamond Sports Inc., effective April 20, 2026 through April 20, 2027, and authorized David Grimes to sign the agreement.
Mary Austin of Cripe recommended proceeding with the pre-construction conference for the South Gospel Street project and issuing the contractor notice to proceed on April 29; the council discussed updated plans, stop sign and crosswalk placement and intersection turning radius.
Police Chief Randy Sanders requested purchase of a vehicle-specific K-9 transport system costing $5,769.00; he said the K-9 fund balance was $8,159.60 and the council approved buying the system from that fund. Clerk-Treasurer Tara Wolfe presented a quote from Ron Taylor for mosquito fogging at $41 per mile; council approved the fogging contract. The council deemed certain fire-department weights of no value and authorized purchase of 12 pagers at $6,945 to be paid from the LIT fund (line 300, Fire Department Shares).
Each item was approved by recorded motion and vote; the minutes include financial figures for the K-9 purchase, fogging per-mile cost and pager total but do not detail contract terms, delivery schedules or vendor payment schedules.
