At its March 24 special session the Paoli Town Council tabled several administrative and budget items pending further information. President Theron Owen moved to table the purchase of a digger truck until the council meets with the Clerk-Treasurer to determine funding sources; the motion passed unanimously.
Councilman Danny Hickman expressed interest in a third-party independent audit following the departure of the prior Clerk-Treasurer and said he was awaiting quotes; Councilman Bobbie Bostock moved to table action on the audit until quotes are obtained and the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, Councilwoman Donna Dillard moved to table hiring for two sewer-department positions and to schedule an executive session at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, to interview candidates; a public session will immediately follow. The council approved changing the scheduled May 5 meeting date to May 6, 2026, because the town office will be closed for the election.
