A separate resident invited commissioners and emergency responders to a Jan. 31 memorial event at the Civic Center and said proceeds will go to a domestic violence organization; the resident offered public thanks to local responders.
Commissioners agreed to hold their next work session on Tuesday, Jan. 20 (town hall closed Jan. 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day) and discussed candidate application processing, with forms to go to the ethics board and a requested response by Jan. 12 to confirm eligibility. The auditor's extension to April 30, noted in the manager's report, was flagged as a gating item before awarding minority business grants. The commission adjourned following a moved, seconded and approved motion.
