Claire M. McClennan, managing agent for Woodhaven through Alan Slawsby & Associates, said the current gazebo is about 10 years old and has required four replacement covers at roughly $400 each. "The cost for this gazebo is $1,103.00," McClennan said, noting the hardtop unit would reduce annual setup and cover-replacement expenses that currently total about $1,400 a year for seasonal installation.
The committee approved the purchase unanimously but conditioned final authorization on confirmation from DPW staff member Sean that the new structure would not interfere with snow-removal operations. The committee recorded the decision as an approval contingent on that site check, with no mover or seconder recorded in the minutes.
The motion to approve the gazebo replacement was described in the meeting minutes as a committee action; the managing agent will follow up with DPW and report back. The minutes also record routine property-management items discussed the same day, including scheduled pest-control spraying and routine HVAC servicing.
Next steps: DPW will confirm site clearance and snow-blower access; the purchase will proceed once the committee receives that confirmation.
