Moore noted that the U.S. House of Representatives has designated July as Parks and Recreation Month and presented the town proclamation to a staff member named Gary.
The proclamations were ceremonial and no formal vote was required. Moore used the remarks to thank parks and recreation staff, volunteers and other town departments for their ongoing work.
