City Engineer Tim Parker recommended and the board approved Pay Request #8 to Hemphill Construction Company, Inc. for the Hwy. 49–Eagle Post Road Sanitary Sewer Additions Phase II Project in the amount of $20,200.00. The board also approved Pay Request #1 of A. J. Construction, Inc. for the Eagle Post Road Overlay Project (STP‑7073‑00 (001) LPA/109170‑701000) in the amount of $706,950.53; both motions were unanimous.
The approvals follow staff recommendations and are part of ongoing public‑works contracts the city is executing for sewer and road improvements. The board also voted to direct City Engineer Tim Parker to coordinate with the Mississippi Department of Transportation on timing and turn‑lane work for Hwy. 469 related to the Cal‑Mar project.
