Riverdale Park’s deputy director of finance presented the monthly finance report for February and year‑to‑date figures during the March 2 council meeting, reporting roughly $479,000 in February revenues (compared with $299,246 in the same month last year) and year‑to‑date collections of about $10,250,000, or about 87% of the adopted FY26 budget.
Deputy Director Jones told the council expenditures were roughly $6.6 million, about 56% of budget, and said staff expects to finish the fiscal year within adopted revenue and spending targets. "We still are expected to reach our budgeted revenue, and still stay within the budgeted expenditures," Jones said.
The council voted to adopt the monthly finance report by roll call (5–0). Separately, the council adopted Resolution 2026‑R‑005 to align town policy with the State of Maryland’s investment policy; the item was described as administrative and not changing the town’s investment strategy. The consent agenda (minutes from recent meetings) was also approved 5–0.
No substantive public comment was received during the initial public‑comment call, and the meeting later closed at 8:48 p.m.
