Paoli council hires two sewer workers with CDL requirement, rescinds memo and secures office access after clerk‑treasurer retirement

The Paoli Town Council approved several personnel and administrative actions at its March 27 special session following the retirement of Clerk‑Treasurer Jones.
Councilman Danny Hickman moved to hire Jaden R. Coulter for the Town of Paoli Sewer Department with a start date of March 30, 2026, contingent on obtaining a commercial driver’s license within one year; Councilman Brian Shipman seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Hickman then moved to hire Chandler C. Allen for the Sewer Department with an April 13, 2026 start date and the same one‑year CDL condition; Shipman seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Councilman Hickman moved to change the locks on the town office doors because of the retirement of Clerk‑Treasurer Jones; Councilwoman Donna Dillard seconded and the council approved the lock change unanimously.
Councilwoman Dillard moved to rescind an employee memo issued Jan. 16, 2025; Councilman Shipman seconded. The motion passed 3‑1, with Shipman, Hickman and Dillard voting yes and President Theron Owen voting no.
Councilwoman Dillard also moved to authorize Deputy Chief Clerk‑Treasurer Rachel Anderson to remove the former Clerk‑Treasurer Jones' Keystone privileges and access to town security cameras, social media pages and websites at close of business March 27, 2026; Councilman Hickman seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
