Perry council approves multiple construction pay applications and easements

The Perry City Council approved several construction payments and related project items during Tuesday's meeting, advancing ongoing public-works projects around the city.
Pay Application No. 1 for the Parallel Taxiway construction was approved after engineers reported mobilization, traffic control and grading work is underway. Two figures appeared in discussion ($215,842.36 and a line reading $115,842.36); staff confirmed engineer sign-off and the item passed on roll call.
The council also approved Pay Application No. 5 for the downtown improvement phase 1 project to TK Concrete for $135,644.52 for utility installation along Warford/Borford Streets. Project managers said sanitary sewer and storm infrastructure work is progressing and crews will push to reopen key intersections ahead of scheduled events.
For street maintenance, the council approved Change Order No. 1 on the 2026 crack-sealing project, adding $15,587.60 for a final contract total of $48,017.60; staff said the work was completed quickly and recommended final acceptance and release of retainage at the next meeting.
The council approved a pay application for the 2026 parking/CREC ceiling project (Pay Application No. 1) for $46,577.07 to Parking Lot Specialties LLC, and approved temporary construction easements with Steins Seeds and a temporary construction and permanent drainage easement with Guthrie County Rural Electric Cooperative Association to support Sumas Avenue work.
Next steps: Staff will continue project coordination and procurement steps; the crack-seal final acceptance and retainage release will be brought forward in the next meeting.
