River Ridge CDD accepts resignation of Supervisor James Gilman; board to solicit candidates

The River Ridge Community Development District Board accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman from Seat 1 (term expiring November 2026) during its Aug. 27 meeting.
Mrs. Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter. On a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the Board accepted the resignation. The board discussed outreach for applicants and asked that Mr. Long and The Meadows’ property owners association manager e-blast residents about the vacancy, candidate qualifications and the process to submit a resume or letter of interest before the next meeting.
Because the vacancy is an appointment to fill an unexpired term, the board directed staff to include candidate submissions in the next meeting packet and to provide information on required ethics training and disclosure filings for newly appointed members. The board deferred administration of the oath and related orientation materials to a future meeting packet.
