Town representative Mr. Scott told the council the text before members is "the version that you have, the version in front of you is the text that is going to be voted on because it's consistent with what changes the Council recommended," and summarized key timing provisions: a deadline for full compliance, 60 days to apply for a license, 90 days to be granted one, and a 30-day period for the town to produce the license.
Councilwoman Carla Taylor moved to approve the ordinance on second reading; Councilman Edward Campbell seconded. A roll-call vote recorded affirmative responses from Councilman Campbell, Councilwoman Taylor and Mayor Pro Tem John David, and the ordinance was adopted.
The council did not record additional amendments on the floor; the town manager's office or town staff will provide next-step implementation details and the production timeline for licenses as described at the meeting.
