At its June 9 meeting the Madison County Board approved its consent agenda, which included multiple supplemental appropriations covering a range of county and school needs.
County Administrator Jonathon Weakley and Finance Director Jennifer Warren reviewed the items. Supplemental Appropriation #35 authorized insurance proceeds for storm-related repairs to the War Memorial. #36 appropriated federal grant funds for school security equipment; School Board member Lauren Gordon agreed to provide follow-up information on the equipment to be purchased. #37 authorized use of fund balance to pay a delayed invoice to vendor Axon for sheriff's office equipment. #38 appropriated state security grant funds for school security purchases and noted a required local match. #39 appropriated funds for employee bonus payments authorized through the State budget process.
Supervisor Jud Buchanan moved to approve the consent agenda as presented; Supervisor Nancy Sharman seconded the motion. The Board voted 5-0 to approve the consent agenda and associated appropriations.
