Romeoville clarifies food-truck rules, sets up to $50 daily fee

She said the update responds to questions from operators and clarifies compliance requirements. The ordinance language indicates food trucks remain permitted only with a special-event permit and at designated locations within the community.
The ordinance was included on the consent agenda and approved by the board. Staff said the change is intended to streamline enforcement and set clear expectations for operators and event organizers.
