The Village of Romeoville Board of Trustees voted May 20 to approve a consent agenda that bundled minutes, ordinances and multiple resolutions covering water and sewer work, equipment purchases, easements and development securities.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Trustee Griffin and seconded; roll-call responses were recorded and Mayor John Nook declared the motion carried. Items listed on the consent agenda included minutes from the May 18 meeting, amendments to village code chapters, multiple development-security resolutions for properties at 800 South Weber Road and 721 Parkwood Drive, sole-source equipment purchases for public works and fire-department breathing apparatus, and a resolution authorizing a project labor agreement for certain water projects.
Among the items approved were a contract amendment for additional services at the recreation-center lot to complete water- and sewer-main replacements and an agreement to accept a proposal from Kompan Inc. for indoor playground equipment to replace the existing 'Jungle Safari' structure, which staff said had exceeded its useful life. Public-works staff also received approval to proceed with further purchases of Census-brand water meters.
Mayor John Nook opened the roll call and noted the board carried the motion after affirmations from trustees on the vote. The meeting proceeded to routine reports and scheduled appointments after the consent agenda was approved.
