DDA outlines executive director search timeline, volunteer program plan, mural call and summer events

During public comment, Douglas Hughes, a resident who said he was born in 1954, reported a missing park bench at the northwest corner of the Four Corners and noted the DDA information on the city website appeared outdated. Michelle, the city representative, responded that the bench is being repaired and the city is in the process of updating the city and Downtown Adrian webpages.
Annette Stone, events coordinator and general manager of the Adrienne Armory and Launch Lenawee program, asked whether a proposed downtown map would include public parking and gave details about Taste of Lenawee (Sept. 18), noting roughly 12 vendors so far and sponsorship information on the event website.
Board members also promoted Croswell Opera House anniversary activities (an ice-cream social and a family weekend) and discussed ways to promote downtown visits during those events.
Votes at a glance: the board moved to accept the agenda, accepted minutes from the annual and regular meetings, accepted the finance report, and later moved to adjourn; each motion was supported and carried by voice vote during the meeting.
