Tensas Parish School Board receives financial reports, approves compensation payment, roof repairs and 2025 meeting schedule

George Matthews moved and Mrs. Jennifer Burnside seconded receipt of the September financial statement and budget-to-actual update; the motion passed. The board later approved the October financial statement and budget-to-actual update as presented by Business Manager Eryn Rimmy on a motion by Mr. Matthews and seconded by Mrs. Knola Ransome.
On a motion by President John L. Turner, seconded by Mrs. Annice Miller, the board approved a differentiated compensation payment to be paid in January; the minutes do not record the payment amount. The board also approved roof repairs at the district Media Center on a motion by Turner, seconded by Joseph Tarver; no cost estimate was recorded in the minutes.
The board approved its 2025 regular meeting dates and start time (5:00 p.m.) on a motion by Mr. Matthews and a second by Mrs. Ransome; the calendar lists monthly meeting dates from January through December 2025.
Superintendent Joyce M. Russ offered several district announcements following the business items and expressed appreciation to staff: "I appreciate everything that you do for the students of Tensas Parish."
