District reports $1.886 million in June SPLOST receipts; special revenue and debt service figures reviewed

During the July 7 meeting, Miss Houston presented the district’s SPLOST and fund summaries. She reported SPLOST receipts for June of $1,886,168.10 and said receipts are 12.4% higher than at this time last year; she attributed a monthly dip to a large audit in the prior month.
Miss Houston said the district did not present June general fund financials because accruals and incoming invoices would materially change that report; she said the audit will be provided once finished. She presented year-to-date figures for other funds: special revenue revenues of $23,200,000 and expenditures of $24,800,000; capital projects revenue and expenditures of $21,300,000 each; and debt service revenue of $12,000,000 and expenditures of $13,798,000. She also noted invoices for the month of June in the $10,000–$74,999 range.
Board members did not engage in extended discussion on the figures during the public segment; the district will provide the audit and further financial reports when available.
