The Johnstown Planning Board on Sept. 2 approved a use variance for Kab's Sports Park, permitting the proposed non-industrial use in an area currently zoned industrial, and scheduled a public hearing for Oct. 7 at 4 p.m.
Board Member Terri Easterly moved to approve the use variance; Board Member Betsy Camarra seconded. The motion passed with four ayes and one member absent (Chandra Cotter).
Staff reported the board received an option letter from the property owner initiating discussions. City Code Enforcement advised that construction plans will be required to move the project forward and that staff can perform a site inspection to identify outstanding requirements for code compliance.
