The board opened a public hearing at 4:01 p.m. but recorded no attendees and no public comments. Board members noted the city’s amended zoning law (2024) requires site-plan review for cannabis dispensaries but does not require a special-use permit.
The applicant said interior work will be limited to cosmetic updates and sealing one doorway, and that any future signage or point-of-sale configuration changes would be coordinated with the Building Department. The applicant indicated there are no planned changes to the parking lot or entrance; any exterior modifications would be subject to Department of Transportation review.
Fulton County Planning Board met May 20 and submitted no recommendations on the proposal, fulfilling the statutory review requirement. On a roll-call vote, members present approved the site plan; Michael M. Albanese, the city attorney, was recorded absent.
The approval clears procedural review steps; the applicant and city departments will coordinate any future exterior or signage changes through the Building Department and DOT as required.
