The Hannibal City Council on May 19 adopted Resolution 2607-26 to authorize a deed conveying city-owned property at the Hannibal Lakeside Technology Park to the Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission, fulfilling terms of an earlier contract.
City Attorney James told the council the survey, title search, and other closing preparations have been completed and that the originally approved contract terms remain unchanged. He said the survey had caused a timing delay and the city brought the closing documents back to the council to provide an opportunity for questions before authorizing the mayor to sign.
At the later resolution reading the clerk read the resolution's title and the council approved it by roll-call vote; the clerk declared Resolution 2607-26 duly approved and adopted.
Next steps: the mayor is authorized to sign the deed and any closing documents to complete the sale.
