City Manager Andy Dorian told council crews discovered crumbling curb near Dowling and Arch on Market Street and recommended a $5,280 change order to replace about 80 linear feet; MODOT has approved the change order and funds are budgeted. Dorian also recommended a $3,168 change order to use trap rock rather than mulch in some Central Park landscaping areas to reduce erosion; that cost is included in the project budget and the contractor will not mark up the rock.
Council moved, seconded and adopted two resolutions authorizing the mayor to execute the change orders: Resolution 25 93‑26 for Market Street and Resolution 25 94‑26 for Central Park. Councilmembers indicated support and the mayor declared both adopted.
