Atascosa County Commissioners Court on May 26 accepted a $350,000 award from the Texas Comptroller's Office for the rural ambulance service grant program.
County Auditor Tracy Barrera told the court the county "was awarded the $350,000." She said the court needed to accept and approve the award now and that she would bring back a budget to certify the funds. Commissioner Gillespie moved to accept the award and Commissioner Eustace seconded; the motion carried.
Barrera said the award requires certification and that final budget adjustments would be presented to the court later. The court did not take separate action on spending allocations during the meeting.
