Fairgrove council adopts CATB resolution and discusses road widening, culvert and DPW repairs

Councilor Spencer moved to adopt Resolution 2026-005; R. Thomas seconded and the motion passed on a roll-call vote of Sebert, R. Thomas, Spencer and K. Young voting yes (motion adopted 4/0/1). The resolution was considered alongside discussion of the West Street CATB project and an item on potential widening to a 20-foot road cross section that could affect adjacent properties and revealed a filled fire well during preliminary review.
Public works staff updated the council on a Circle Drive culvert and ditching plan; camera inspection work turned up three issues that staff flagged for estimates. Council approved purchasing manhole risers at a cost of $750 (motion by R. Thomas, second Sebert; roll call affirmative). The DPW garage door needs repair and council asked for written estimates for York Motor work after hearing a $3,100 repair bid contrasted with a $1,500 estimate for parts; members requested formal written bids before committing funds.
Council also repealed Ordinance 23-A in the same meeting (motion by Sebert, second Spencer; roll-call yes votes recorded). Several items were discussed as informational or scheduled for further bidding, including a leaking Fire Hall roof for which staff were directed to obtain three bids for complete repair.
