Fairgrove trustees pursue five-year parks plan, seek grants for playground and court upgrades

At a special parks input meeting Feb. 2 and at the start of the Feb. 3 regular meeting, Harrison said the Village of Fairgrove is developing a five-year parks plan and is working with Spicer Engineering to pursue grant funding for new playground equipment and to pave the village basketball court and install a "magic square."
K. Young, who opened the meeting and led the Pledge of Allegiance, said the owner of Sinclair Recreation offered assistance with the playground effort. Trustees and attendees discussed ideas for fundraising to help cover upgrades not funded by grants.
The parks discussion was part of a short special meeting that closed at 6:30 p.m.; trustees then proceeded to routine regular-meeting business.
