Commission approves royalty-free license allowing Brainerd Institute to print Palladium history book

The Carmel Redevelopment Commission voted Thursday to grant a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to the Brainerd Institute for Beautiful Cities to print and distribute a finished book documenting the Palladium and the venue’s contribution to the city.
Executive Director Metzanski said the project began under a previous administration and that the book is now complete. Under the approved agreement, the Brainerd Institute may print and distribute copies, and the commission will receive 100 free copies of the finished book.
Metzanski said the city’s in-house legal department negotiated the agreement. Commissioners raised no questions; the motion to approve the license was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The commission noted the Palladium was originally a CRC project and marked the facility’s 15th year of operation during remarks at the meeting.
