The New Albany Floyd County Schools board approved its consent agenda after a motion to remove the staffing report for separate vote. A board member moved to approve the consent agenda while removing the staffing report for a separate vote; the motion was seconded and passed by roll call (6-1). Later, the board voted separately to approve the retirement consulting agreement that had been removed; that measure also passed on a 6-1 roll call.
Roll-call tallies were recorded verbally at the meeting with six members voting in favor and one opposed on each contested item; meeting dialogue recorded members by name as they cast votes (for example, "Mister Nafis: Aye" was read during roll call). The board chair declared both measures adopted.
What was included: The consent items listed by the board covered a wide range of routine business, including transfers from the education fund, payment affidavits, approval of facility projects (stadium HVAC, chiller replacements and wrestling-room HVAC), the Prosser calendar adjustment, a district bollard project, surplus declarations for auction and an agreement for industrial automation and robotics curriculum articulation.
