City Manager Andy Dorian updated the City Council on progress for the Saint Elizabeth's Hospital project, reporting the project team intends to release bid documents on April 1, hold a pre‑bid meeting on April 14, and open bids May 5. If the procurement proceeds without issues, Dorian said demolition could begin the first week in June with a target completion in mid‑November.
Dorian described the schedule as tentative and dependent on bid results and potential issues discovered during procurement. “These are tentative dates, but these are pretty close to being locked in,” he said, and promised to distribute the schedule to council members by email.
What’s next: Staff will circulate the bid packet and related dates to the council and the public; formal award and construction scheduling will follow the bid opening and any required council approvals.
