The Chair then cited South Carolina Code sections 30-4-70(a)(2) and 30-4-70(a)(1) and asked for a motion to go into executive session "to receive legal advice on matters covered by attorney-client privilege and to discuss issues related to the employment of a person regulated by counsel." A motion to enter executive session was made and seconded; the Chair announced the vote was unanimous.
Following the executive session, the Chair told the assembly there was "no action coming out of executive committee," and announced an executive committee meeting scheduled for Thursday at 01:00 that would be put on public notice. A motion to adjourn the executive session was made, seconded and carried by unanimous sign vote.
