On Oct. 22, 2025, the School District of Spring Valley Board voted to approve the district'025-26 tax levy and to adopt the 2025-26 budget for all funds. Superintendent John Groh presented the proposed levy of $4,200,411, a mill rate of $7.34 (0.00733712); the board approved the levy on a motion by Jennelle Wolf, seconded by Stacy Schultz. Later in the meeting a motion by Stacy Schultz, seconded by Ryan Glaus, carried to adopt the 2025-26 budget for all funds as presented.
The finance committee reported on Oct. 20 that it had reviewed the district'019s long-term financial plan and the proposed levy before the full board vote. The board also approved a monthly budget update earlier in the meeting.
The actions complete the board'019s formal budget-setting steps for the year; the superintendent and finance staff will implement the budget and report routine updates to the board.
The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Nov. 19, 2025, in the MS/HS Library.
