The mayor told the board the village is preparing an RFQ for renovation of the village hall and mentioned a separate $300,000 grant intended to repave Monticello and Nelson. Village Clerk Sharon Dyson thanked the mayor and Robinson Engineering for securing a lead-line replacement grant she said will save residents thousands of dollars; she contrasted that outcome with the City of Chicago, which she said took a $336 million loan to address lead-line issues.
The minutes do not include the RFQ document or detailed terms for the repaving grant or the lead-line project. Trustees recorded approvals for several related administrative items during the meeting. The board is scheduled to revisit pending projects and continue outreach to state offices in the coming months.
