Board approves consent agenda, donations, IT contract and personnel changes

The Southern Door County School District Board approved its consent agenda and several personnel recommendations on June 16 after a roll‑call vote.
Items in the consent agenda included approval of past meeting minutes (05/05/2025; 05/08/2025; 05/12/2025), expenditure and revenue reports and the check register, and a long list of donations from local organizations and individuals (including the Eagles Athletic Booster Club, Door County Medical Center and local foundations and businesses). The board approved an information technology contract for 2025‑26, renewed the district’s liability insurance plan and accepted the preliminary 2025‑26 budget as presented.
On personnel, the board approved resignations (professional and support staff), several retirements and new hires for the 2025‑26 year, including hiring Krista Schley as a 3rd grade teacher and numerous co‑curricular and coaching appointments. The board also approved changes of assignment for support staff and voluntary coaching appointments.
Motions to approve the consent agenda and personnel recommendations were moved and seconded and carried on roll‑call votes. The board concluded with a president’s comment thanking staff and noting next steps before adjourning to closed session.
