The clerk explained the assembled tower would extend about “7 to 8 feet high, off of its base,” and that the Game Commission would construct the tower components while residents would be involved in erecting the unit on the prepared slab.
Council members asked questions about siting (distance from trees, access for maintenance and vehicle equipment), potential insect issues if the structure got wet, and confirmation that the tower would not disrupt mowing or pond maintenance. Staff said public works had reviewed the location to avoid maintenance conflicts and that a professional would set the concrete base.
No formal vote was taken; members broadly signaled support but asked staff to ensure specifications and maintenance responsibilities were clear before bringing a formal authorization to a future meeting.
