A Forest Hills resident used the public comment period to urge the borough to address persistent debris and to question whether public works staff had adequately followed up on tickets and photos the resident submitted.
The resident said she had met with neighbors after a power outage and later sent four photos to the borough as evidence. She described the condition at the pool area and neighboring properties, said staff “did not contact me” and “no such work was done by the public works department,” and urged the council to act. The resident added, “They are reckless, and they put the residents of that area at risk,” expressing safety concerns tied to unremoved debris.
Council members limited the speaker to five minutes and noted the public comment policy’s purpose as information-gathering rather than debate. The president and staff said submitted materials would be reviewed and referred to the appropriate committee or the borough manager for follow-up within five business days if the issue was not a committee matter.
No formal action was taken during the meeting; the council directed that such complaints be handled through the usual referral process to the borough manager or the appropriate committee for review.
