Little Falls board affirms meeting legality, hires Jordyan Mueller for comprehensive plan phase two

The Town Board of Little Falls on July 17 affirmed the legality of its special meeting after a brief executive session and voted to hire Jordyan Mueller to lead phase two of the town's comprehensive plan, authorizing a flat fee of $4,200.

Supervisor Dan Casler opened the special meeting at 7:04 p.m. to consider the timeline proposal for phase two of the comprehensive plan submitted by the project manager. Councilman Mitch Soules moved to hold an executive session to discuss the legality of the meeting; the board recessed and met in executive session from approximately 7:09 to 7:15 p.m.

After reconvening, Supervisor Dan Casler said that no action had been taken during the executive session and that the special meeting was a legal meeting. The board then considered a contract proposal from Jordyan Mueller to perform phase two of the comprehensive plan.

On a motion by Councilman Kevin Sullivan, seconded by Councilman Anthony Viscomi, the board approved a resolution to hire Jordyan Mueller as project manager for phase two of the comprehensive plan. The vote recorded Councilman Anthony Viscomi 'Aye', Councilman Kirk Schwasnick 'No', Councilman Kevin Sullivan 'Aye', Councilman Mitch Soules 'No', and Supervisor Dan Casler 'Aye'; the tally was 3 yes, 2 no. The resolution specifies a flat fee of $4,200 for the work.

The meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m. Town Clerk Sandra Regan signed and submitted the minutes. The board did not record any other directives or votes on funding or timeline details at this session.
