The Havelock Community Arts and Appearance Committee discussed developing an Arts in the Park program and hosting multicultural dance performances. HCAAC member Lacey Robinson described the concept as a small-to-moderate program of artists and community arts classes. Members discussed staging dance performances on different days and combining those offerings with existing city concerts or movie nights so HCAAC would not have to produce a standalone large event.
Luwona Furguson agreed to take the lead on the planning team; Albert Goodson (AJ) volunteered to assist. The committee deferred final decisions on scheduling and scale until the planning team outlines a proposed format and staffing needs.
