The Havelock Community Arts and Appearance Committee (HCAAC) reviewed feedback on a proposed mural for the Havelock Senior Center and asked the Craven Arts Council to submit a revised design ahead of the July meeting. Chair Lorraine Butler led the discussion and members identified five silhouette figures they want included in the mural.
Committee members discussed adding a nature or textured background and possibly incorporating both the Havelock city logo and the Senior Citizens Center logo into the design. Lacey Robinson said she will relay the committee's suggestions to Jonathan Burger at the Craven Arts Council and requested he return a revised proposal to HCAAC before the July meeting so members can review proposed changes in advance of his attending.
The committee took no formal vote on the final artwork at the June meeting and deferred final approval pending the revised proposal. The request for a revised submission establishes a clear next step in the project schedule ahead of HCAAC's July 2 meeting.
