The Planning & Zoning Committee discussed a proposed revision to the Blonhaven Hunt Club Conditional Use Permit at its May 26 meeting after new owners Hendricks Commercial Properties LLC signaled interest in changing the existing permit terms.
Under the current Conditional Use Permit, skeet and trap shooting are not allowed on the property. According to the meeting record, the new owners proposed changing condition #8 to permit year‑round skeet shooting while maintaining the original CUP’s membership rules, including a prohibition on alcohol before or during a hunt. The record additionally notes Hendricks Commercial Properties LLC will seek a liquor license “as permitted by the State.”
No new application had been submitted by the time of the meeting and the committee did not take action. Committee members discussed the proposal and noted that any change to the CUP would require a formal application, review, and a recommendation to the Town Board.
Because the item is discussion-only in the record, the PZC did not forward a motion or recommendation on the CUP change at this meeting.
