Dog park volunteers report strong fundraising, outline August events

Jennie Stonehouse, a member of the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Board, reported that fundraising for the proposed dog park is proceeding strongly and described several upcoming outreach and fundraising events.
Stonehouse said volunteers will be at the Tap Yard in West Bend on Aug. 11 and at the Holy Hill Art Farm on Aug. 11, and that they will host line dancing at Community Park in Slinger on Aug. 22. She said community interest and awareness for the dog park continue to grow as volunteers fundraise and promote the project throughout the village.
No formal vote or funding authorization for the dog park was taken at the Aug. 5 meeting.
