Franklin County approves Guyett rezoning and final plat for four-lot subdivision

Nathan Boyd, Franklin County Planning and Building Director, told commissioners on June 24 that rezoning application #2602-0071 (Guyett) seeks to rezone portions of a property commonly known as 1981 Indiana Road to enable a four-lot subdivision. The request included rezoning approximately 23.653 acres from A-1 (Agriculture) to A-2 (Transitional Agriculture) and approximately 24.895 acres from A-1 to R-E (Residential Estate). The Planning Commission recommended approval.
Commissioner Colton Waymire moved to adopt Resolution 26-20 to approve the rezoning and amend the Official County Zoning Map; Commissioner Rod Harris seconded. The board voted unanimously in favor.
Following the rezoning vote, Boyd presented the Final Plat of Guyett Subdivision, which divides approximately 93.00 acres into four lots as contemplated by the approved rezoning. Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Harris seconded to accept the dedication of rights-of-way and easements and to authorize Chair Sabrina Meador to endorse the Final Plat. The motion passed with all commissioners voting yes.
